HOW TO IDENTIFY GENUINE REFUGEES LIVING IN THE COUNTRY.

Not everyone we see as a refugee is a genuine refugee!

Some refugees are impostors who are in the Country camouflaged as Investors, Visitors, Students, Tourists, Adventures and Expatriates and yet they are Spies and Agents of their native Countries. Of late we have been receiving the so called Investors from some African Countries like Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania to mention but a few.

These men and women come in the Country with genuine permission from their own Countries in form of Passports. Others are even given Loans and Grants by Embassies of their native Countries and begin conducting some businesses. In the recent years, we have had people from Rwanda who are trading as businessmen and women and are making some drinks with some concoctions of Ginger, Garlic and other unverified combinations.

WHO ARE GENUINE REFUGEES?

Genuine refugees are those who fled their native Countries due to Ethnic conflicts, Political violence, Economic turbulences, Insecurities, Political victims or Individuals perceived by the sitting Government as potential threats to dislodging them from power and other viable reasons.

The department of the Commissioner for Refugees (COR) under Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security has a constituted select Committee made up of diligent men and women drawn from Security Wings of the Government. Others are picked from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Justice and other critical departments of the Government.

The select Committee meet occasionally in a year in order to review applications and requests for those seeking Asylum and  Refugee status in the Country. Among the things they consider include the reasons advanced by the individuals seeking refugee. It must be established that truly those requesting for Asylum have genuine causes.

Unfortunately, the select Committee has ended up admitting people who disguise themselves and end up giving false information. Some applicants decide to hide their passports and pretend that they came running. Others fictitiously decide to change their Country of Origin realizing that some details they have does not tally and fail to collaborate with evidence on the ground.

It must be mentioned that some Committee members are just humans and sadly end up succumbing to corrupt practices. Some of these impostors are so resolved to remaining in the Country such that they use money to solicit for some favors.

HOW TO IDENTIFY FAKE REFUGEES.

Below are some known indicators of fake refugees living in the Country; -

* They often come with genuine passports. ( Not everyone carrying a Passport is an Impostor).

* They usually enjoy a good relationship with the Embassy of the Country of their Origin.

* They often snick out of the Country to visit relatives in their home Country.

* They have both an updated Passport and a Refugee Status of their host Nation.

* When others begin discussing the Country of Origin in a negative tone, they choose remaining mute.

*They harbour total hatred and jealous towards people of their nation. The ingratitude and despondency is so visible!

CONCLUSION.

Granted not all people we see as refugees are genuine refugees. We have hundreds if not thousands of people living in our midst who are in the Country as Spies and Agents of other Countries especially Rwanda. These are strategically sent to gather information about those perceived to posses potential to unsettle the Government of their native Countries.

It is disheartening learning that 95% of the deaths and sudden killings we have had in Zambia among refugees involve those coming from Rwanda. Actually the Instigators and Assassin's of refugees are not only trained but are smart killers who do not leave behind any trace of evidence.

The Rwandan Government especially is so desperate that it has managed putting its agents in almost all critical departments of Governments that host refugees from Rwanda. Many institutions are infiltrated with Agents of President Paul Kagame. These are emissaries and envoys that act as Eyes and Ears of the Rwandan Government.

It is imperative for the Zambia Bereau of Standards to scrutinize private companies involved in manufacturing some products like the cited drinks in order to ascertain the genuineness of these claimed investors. The select Committee at the Office of the Commissioner for Refugees must be weary about these manipulators who are agents of the cruel Governments.

It is therefore high time that the Zambian Government realized the dangers of entertaining the tyrannical regimes and begin operating shrewdly with some Governments that does not uphold Democratic tenets. Unknowingly, we are swimming in dangerous waters by allowing some predators in our midst. In case anyone come across some people carrying those listed marks, please report to the authorities immediately!

The Government of the Republic of Zambia has a Constitutional mandate to protect, safeguard and secure the lives of everyone living in the Country. No one must be allowed to serve as a conduit in endangering the lives of others. Senior Government officials must not betray their people by conniving with such architects with evil intentions.

We are geared to expose any machinations meant to betray our people.
